Mistra to start programme focusing on green chemistry

Mistra opened a call for proposals on green chemistry. The initiative has a total budget of SEK 100 million and Mistra is to provide more than half the funding. Green chemistry has the potential to change how chemicals are produced, what properties they have, and, not least, their toxicity.

‘We hope the programme will result in new products using green chemistry and we’ll see modernisation of chemical use,’ said Christopher Folkeson Welch, in charge of the new call.
