Poland Climate Conference engages many Mistra researchers

The UN Climate Change Conference (COP24) in Katowice, Poland, was perhaps the most important climate event since the 2015 Paris Agreement. Participants included researchers and representatives of several Mistra research programmes. For about a decade, Mistra had been an observer for the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), able to choose delegates to various public and side events.

‘It’s important because they can present their own research and results during the Conference. But it’s also good experience, especially for young researchers, to see how international policy work is done,’ said Thomas Nilsson, Programmes Director at Mistra.
