Mistra Carbon Exit

The programme sets out to contribute research to back proposals for reshaping Swedish industry, and society at large, to achieve net zero emissions of greenhouse gases and meet Swedish and international climate targets.

Events during the year
  • The programme drew up a report that summarises forthcoming initiatives in the form of nine components considered crucial for the transition to a fossil-free Sweden. These include several types of carbon dioxide pricing, more active public procurement officials, a renewable electricity system, self-driving vehicles and new business models.

  • The researchers have contributed to the work of the Swedish Climate Policy Council; for example, Åsa Löfgren of Mistra Carbon Exit has been a member of the Council.
